A number of delegates attended the ASPOA Conference and House of Delegates meeting in Tehran ,where the IOS hosted a very successful conference and showed outstanding hospitality and made sure all our needs were catered for.

At the House of Delegates meeting a new Executive were elected and they are the following Ronaldo Lora Secretary,Richard McNair Treasurer ,Harikesh Buch Vice President,Barry Maughan President.

It was agreed that the Draft Strategic plan be circulated to all members to comment on and add in suggestions by the end of November when the Executive committee will need to firm up the plan.

If you have a particular project you want to support please provide details and any costings to enable budgets to be established. I am very keen to explore the possibility of funding coming from not only the appliance firms but from sponsorship from business. Please list countries you are twinning with or a country you would like to twin with. Present examples are Japan with Mongolia.

Presently we have not designated a meeting place for 3 years time and I would ask for any suggestions and a suuggested format for this meeting by the end of November also.

A suggestion to combine our meeting with the ASSR conference has been tentativey raised with Professor Shindo.

The ASPOA executive committee look forward to developing this plan and growing help for ostomates throughout our region.

With all of your member associations help I believe we can make good progress.
