The Asia and South Pacific Ostomy Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to quality ostomy patient care, up to date patient information and the formation of support groups. The mandate of the ASPOA is to promote awareness of the rights of ostomy patients as stated in the Constitution.
The ASPOA officially began its functions and mandate on November 2010 during the International Ostomy Association meeting held in Frankfurt, Germany.
There are three regions among which is the ASPOA together with the European Ostomy Association (EOA) and the Ostomy Association of the Americas (OAA) that complement and strengthen each other in promoting the rights of ostomates world wide.
Our leaders are composed of ostomates from member countries providing insights and decision making for the region.
It serves as a fundamental framework so that every decision by the House of Delegates is for the welfare of ostomates.
A logo serves as the visual embodiment of an organization’s values and mission, acting as a powerful symbol that resonates with its counterparts under the umbrella of the International Ostomy Association.
