Hydrotherapy for People with Stoma – Youtube Link

As part of the ongoing webinar series conducted by the ASPOA. the organization hosted last June 21, 2024 the second part for this year entitled “Back in the Water- Hydrotherapy and Active Living  for Stoma Patients.

With the able leadership of Mr. Ellil Mathiyan Lakshmaman, ASPOA Vice President, who also hosted the program, got in touch with esteemed speakers from Changi District Hospital namely Nurse Madalinah Tan and Darren Low to share on the benefits of active exercise for ostomates especially on the water.

The activity was participated by a breakdown of participants from the following countries :

Allen Nash, ASPOA President, noted that it had a good turnout but still has a room for improvement for the target audience particularly ostomates and stoma nurses / doctors. 

The video is designed to provide valuable information and visual guidance to help individuals better understand quality of living for ostomates. We hope it serves as a helpful resource for those affected, offering clarity and support as they navigate their healthcare journey.
